Seller Refund Obligations

Sellers in The Neighborhood are required to handle refunds fairly and consistently. Clear refund practices help maintain buyer trust and marketplace integrity.

When Refunds Are Required

  • If an item arrives damaged, defective, or not as described.
  • If an order is cancelled before shipment.
  • If a package is confirmed lost by the carrier.
  • When a return is approved and the item is received back in acceptable condition.

Processing Refunds

  • Refunds must be issued to the buyer’s original payment method.
  • Refunds should be processed within 5 business days of approval.
  • Sellers must confirm refund completion in their dashboard or with support.

Partial Refunds

  • Partial refunds may apply if an item is returned with missing parts or in lesser condition.
  • Buyers must be notified of the reason before a partial refund is applied.

Responsibilities

  • Sellers must honor their stated return and refund policies.
  • Refund disputes may be escalated to First Homeschool for review.
  • Failure to process refunds promptly may result in penalties or suspension.

Special Notes

  • Refund obligations apply equally to all sellers in The Neighborhood.
  • Refund timelines may vary depending on the buyer’s payment provider.
