A Google Sheets and Excel workbook for the three records Missouri asks a home school or FPE school to keep: an hours log, a portfolio of work samples and a record of evaluations, plus high school credits.

Log a day in a minute. The workbook adds up total, core and at-home hours for each child, tells you who's on pace, and prints the pages you keep.

What’s inside

  • Daily Log: one row per subject with a note on what you did. Pick "All students" for a family lesson and it counts for every child
  • Dashboard: hours against 1,000 / 600 / 400, On pace or Behind, the hours a week each child needs, plus counts of work samples, evaluations and credits
  • Missouri status from each birthdate, including the date a child turns 16 and the hours rules stop
  • Monthly totals, a year-long Student Log, a printable Monthly Log and a one-page Year-End Report per child
  • Credits tab: adds each course's hours from the log and marks a credit at 100 hours, Missouri's definition (RSMo 167.031.5)
  • Portfolio index and Evaluations log, the other two Missouri records
  • Resources tab with Missouri and neighboring-state links
  • A filled-in example workbook and a 14-page parent guide

Who it’s for

Missouri families, home school or FPE, with one to six children who want all three records in one place, including a high schooler counting credits.

Only need part of this? The Missouri Homeschool Hours Log costs less.

Common questions

Google Sheets or Excel? Both come with the download. Google Sheets is free and works on a phone or tablet: open the copy link in the guide and click Make a copy. Excel needs Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021 or newer. It won't run in Excel 2019 and older, or in Apple Numbers.

Does co-op count? Yes. Mark the row Away. Core co-op classes count toward the 1,000 and the 600, just not toward the 400 hours at your regular home school location.

What you get

PDF guide with your Google Sheets copy links (the workbook and a filled-in example), the Excel workbook (.xlsx), and the Excel example. Instant download after purchase. Nothing ships. Personal use for your own family. A record-keeping tool, not legal advice. Browse our other digital downloads.
